The Squamish Rafting Company is a family-owned local business operating year-round with exciting Whitewater rafting trips in the Spring & Summer months and extraordinary Wilderness & Eagle Viewing Floats in the Fall & Winter months.

We are comprised of a passionate team of entrepreneurs, including some of the most experienced raft guides in the Sea to Sky Corridor. We take great care in our risk management strategies and our reputation for fun and informative rafting trips on the Elaho and Cheakamus Rivers.

COVID-19 Considerations:

We have had a great time on the water during the 2021 summer and rafted safely with our COVID-19 protocols. New protocols for the 2022 summer season will be released closer to the time to make sure we are up-to-date and conform to the latest regulations.

Who We’re Looking For (Spring/Summer 2022 Season)

Whitewater Rafting Instructors

Applicants must be able to lead groups and individuals while enforcing safety rules and regulations. They must also have 3-5 years of experience instructing Whitewater rafting and must present a river log to verify experience. For safety reasons, knowledge and experience on the Elaho-Squamish Rivers and Cheakamus River is preferred.

What You’ll Need

Due to the and extreme nature of Whitewater rafting on our rivers, candidates must have the following:

  • 3-5 years experience as a Whitewater Rafting Instructor
  • Swiftwater Rescue Certification
  • BC River Outfitters Association Guiding License or equivalent for Whitewater rafting-Be able to assess river conditions and lead tours
  • Have a current first aid certification, minimum 16 hours


  • Experienced and capable Whitewater kayaking skills
  • Trip Leading experience with small rafting groups is beneficial
  • Excellent hospitality, public relations, and customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and outgoing person that loves the outdoors


  • Compensation: Hourly wages based on experience
  • Contract: Seasonal Full Time
  • Dates: May 1 – September 30, 2022


Class 2 & 4 Commerical Drivers

What You’ll Need

  • Have a Class 2 or 4 Commercial License (air brake ticket not required)
  • Be punctual
  • Have experience with highway & off-road driving
  • Be mechanically minded
  • Be comfortable doing pickups & drop-offs in Whistler
  • Have a clean driver’s abstract

What You’ll Be Doing

Your day will consist of shuttling excited rafters and our guiding team to and from our river tours within the Sea to Sky Corridor and snapping photos of the fun along the way! It’s a relaxed work environment where your colleagues are as stoked to be here as the guests are.

  • Pre-trip vehicle
  • Collect customers from various pickup locations
  • Liaise with Trip Leader, Operations Manager & Office Staff
  • Drive Clients Safely
  • Pull a fully loaded trailer
  • Assist guides with trip preparations and customers
  • Take photos
  • Gas Up
  • Clean and maintain vehicle
  • Post-trip vehicle


  • Compensation: $20/hour
  • Contract: Seasonal Park Time or Full Time (up to 40hrs/week)
  • Dates: May 1 – September 30, 2022
